This is my graph for theme 5 about what I've eaten during this online unit. This unit has made me more aware of what I am eating but it hasn't changed what I eat.

This unit has been awesome and I think there is still a lot more to learn about nutrition.

Hi
Here are some ANZAC biscuits.
The mothers and wives made them and sent them overseas for the soldiers fighting in world war 1.
AND THEY ARE YUMMY!!!

Hungry Jack's, the health it lacks!
The Big Mac makes you fat.
K.F.C. Bad for me.

Hi Everyone,
I found out that someone did a test where they got two identical snacks. They put one into plain wrapping and the other into McDonalds wrapping and gave them to a kid to eat. The kid said that the snack in the McDonalds wrapper tasted 8 times better than the one in the plain wrapper, even though they are both the same snacks.
This shows how marketing affects how good you think things taste.

I heard about this yesterday, and today I found this website with the story :

"Consumer Watchdog Choice rates Hungry Jack's Ultimate Double Whopper the most unhealthy fast food

THE bite has been put on the best and worst fast foods.

Consumer watchdog Choice rated Hungry Jack's Ultimate Double Whopper the most unhealthy option in a sample of major outlets.

With 80g of fat, 2386mg of sodium and 5085 kilojoules, the burger accounts for almost 60 per cent of an adult's recommended daily kilojoule intake.

Red Rooster's Free Range Garden salad had the lowest count at 479Kj, the investigation found.

Official ABS figures reveal Victorians scoffed $318 million worth of takeaway food in April, up more than 3 per cent on the previous month.

Choice is campaigning for all key fast-food outlets across Australia to be forced to declare kilojoules on their menus to fight obesity. NSW will introduce the move next February

Choice calculates it takes four hours of constant house cleaning to burn off a McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder, a 1 1/2-hour jog for an Ultimate Double Whopper, and an hour of cycling or lawn mowing for KFC's Wicked Wings Snack Box."

Kilojoules measure food energy. Everything we eat has kilojoules. Every day we need a certain ammount of kilojoules for our body to work. If you eat too many kilojoules you can put on weight.

Did you know that Australia used to show more fast food commercials than any other country in the world? And there are plans to get the government to stop fast food ads.

I learnt that every thing we eat is our diet.
when someone goes on a diet they mean
they are changing food to lose weight.

Ima Foodlover VS Jake
My diet is healthier than Ima Foodlover , because I have healthier food in the morning and for other meals and only a little junk food. She has too much junk food and not much healthy food.

Why do people eat foods that are bad for them even when they know it is not good for them?

I found the colour of the packaging reflects on the product such as a green tea box is green and a turkish delight packet is pick purple as the product.

I have learnt there is two types of protein, animals and vegetables. two types of carbohydrate, simple and complex.and two types of fat-saturated and poly unsaturated.
